Shawna started The Refined Man in 2015 in Tennessee, she relocated back to the Olympia area in 2016 and brought the shop with her. She has extensive training at both American Crew and Paul Mitchell. She enjoys time with her husband Ken on their Harleys, traveling, working on their home and spending time with their 4 sons, and 3 grandchildren.

Sereita is an Olympia local that loves the city she grew up in. She focuses on brightening everyone's day with her love of pets, nature, and activities going on throughout our town. When she isn't in the shop, she is with her toddler and her fur-babies. Ask Sereita about the cats and dogs she rescues throughout the pnw!

3 things Brinna loves doing in her free time is camping, going to the dunes and hangout with her fiance' and 2 dogs. She's getting married in May of 2025. Currently she is rebuilding a '69 VW Bug. Her favorite food is chicken fried steak or any kind of pasta you set in front of her.

I was born and raised here in the PNW in Hoquiam, Washington. Before finding my passion in this industry, I worked in a variety of fields, from wildland firefighting to working with foster youth. When I'm not meeting your tonsorial needs, you'll find me playing music, diving into board games, or spending quality time with my girlfriend and two young kids. I've been a barber professionally for nearly 5 years now, and I love this industry for the creative outlet it provides and the relationships I'm able to build with my clients. As a Master Barber Tyler has over a decade dedicated to his craft. Highly specialized in the 1950's classic tapered styles and heavily influenced by Rock-A-Billy culture, Tyler brings a very timeless look for his clientele. An Olympia transplant, Tyler originally cut his teeth in the trade back in his home town of Yakima, WA. Being a fanatic pomade container collector Tyler has vast knowledge on various products in the industry, making him perfect to find the right stuff for your own hair. He is straight razor certified through the Washington State Health and Beauty Board as well as conventional straight razor certified through accredited Portland Razor Company. When outside of the shop you can always find Tyler in the community supporting local rugby clubs or out in the backcountry fly fishing and hunting.

Lauren is a dedicated barber from Orange County, California with 14 years of experience. . With a passion for crafting refined classic styles to textured cuts, she brings precision and style to each client. As the product specialist at the shop she ensures the best products for your hair care needs in shop and for home. Whether you're looking for a classic cut or a modern style, Lauren is here to help you look and feel your best along side her you'll find her chihuaua Goldie- feel free to give Goldie all the pets and loves she really is a sweetheart of a dog. Lauren has a passion for live music and you can often find her at metal shows!

Goldie is 8 years old. Ask her about her scar in her back and she’ll tell you how her Momma Lauren saved her from a snake bite on St Patty’s Day 2017. Goldie loves bologna, string cheese, belly rubs and laying in the sun.

Chantel was born and raised on the island of Maui, Hawaii. She graduated from Maui Academy of Healing Arts in 2017 and has been practicing therapeutic massage ever since. Chantel specializes in a combination of modalities including Swedish, Deep Tissue and Lomi Lomi (traditional Hawaiian massage). Her sessions are tailored to your unique needs- whether it's deep relaxation or targeted relief. When she's not at the barbershop, you can find her hiking with her pup or lounging with her 4 cats. Roo is a rescue from Texas and is still a puppy. This is her first job and she's working on her social skills. Her favorite things in the world are her moms, chewing on sticks, zooming around outdoors, eating treats and playing with big dogs. Other names include: Roobie Dubois, Rooster and Reuzel.

Cambria grew up in Southern California and moved to WA from Maui, where she found a deep love of fitness. When she's not at the barbershop, she's a barista, spin instructor, musician and mom to five fur babies. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family, bourbon or a good hazy IPA and cooking delicious vegan food.

Sophie has been gracing us with her presence for the last year. She is almost three and it's been fun watching her grow. Sophie's hobbies include cookies, butt scratches and barking at squirrels.

Danielle has been with the Refined Man for almost four years and now works part time in Olympia and manages the Seabrook location. She's been in the beauty industry over ten years and loves it. On her off time Danielle enjoys fishing, kayaking and hanging out with her two dogs Sophie and Stella.
