Shawna started The Refined Man in 2015 in Tennessee, she relocated back to the Olympia area in 2016 and brought the shop with her. She has extensive training at both American Crew and Paul Mitchell. She enjoys time with her husband Ken on their Harleys, traveling, working on their home and spending time with their 4 sons, and 3 grandchildren.

My name is Jeff Cooke; I grew up in Southern California and Southern Nevada, and first came to the Pacific Northwest in 2009 to attend Willamette University. After graduating, I served in the United States Navy for six years as a Mandarin interpreter, based on Oahu. I returned to the mainland to attend Seattle University in 2020, and completed my second degree in 2022. I started my career in cosmetology at the beginning of 2023, following a passion for creativity. I am dedicated to providing clients with tailored cuts and contemporary styling that expresses their personality.

Sophie has been gracing us with her presence for the last year. She is almost three and it's been fun watching her grow. Sophie's hobbies include cookies, butt scratches and barking at squirrels.

Danielle has been with the Refined Man for almost four years and now works part time in Olympia and manages the Seabrook location. She's been in the beauty industry over ten years and loves it. On her off time Danielle enjoys fishing, kayaking and hanging out with her two dogs Sophie and Stella.
